About me

Lindsay Satchell Designs began with a few yoga paintings in 2003 and has grown to about 100 yoga, Pilates and nature illustrations!

My illustrations are all done in watercolor. The yoga and Pilates illustrations are loose and flowing, finished with ink lines to complete the poses. I aim to represent the poses energetically and creatively. My nature illustrations are a mix of either creative whimsy or careful observation approaching photorealism. The new series of terrariums came out of my interest in painting the reflections in glass as well as the plants (which I love!)

My art career began with a Fine Arts degree in Sculpture. I've worked as a darkroom assistant, museum studio assistant, antiques restorer, bench jeweler, university instructor, and more! 

I'm happy to be able work full-time as a self-employed artist creating work I love. I'm honored to have my work in homes and studios around the world.
